Considering SWA, have questions

Penalty of injunction? Won’t happen after SWA’s meltdown. Judges would rule unfavorably against them and it would be unwise to even go there for the company from a PR standpoint (more internal and external damage). AmIright?

No, you’re not right. Corporate executive goons and FH ghouls have zero shame. Don’t even go near anything that can possibly be perceived as an illegal job action. It’s a great way to strip a union of leverage.

The meltdown started way before xmas. And it lasted well after xmas. Lots of junior pilots were flying their original pairings and got completely ****ed. Lots of senior pilots kept out flying for many days. Many missed the entire holiday when their family was home. Btw, this was happening all summer and nobody said a ****ing word. The company didn't give a **** and SWAPA really give a ****. This is a chickens coming home to roost for not only the GO, but for SWAPA too. It's really a shame heads aren't rolling on both sides.

Ive realized the amount of people who have been here 20 years and have NO CLUE how our current contract works is pretty crazy.
I don't trust they will vote informed... If they haven't taken the time yet to figure out the piece of paper than controls their pay and lives.
Im not talking understanding all the convoluted reserve pay rules, etc, I'm talking basic stuff.

I’d wager a SAV would get about 80% participation, and about 70% voting in favor. Not impressive by any measure, but hopefully enough to move the needle.

Same here. I have little faith in any kind of strong turnout/results of a SAV based on what I’ve seen in the 7.5 years I’ve been here. It starts with the incomprehensible thought that a majority of the pilot group actually voted for Carl K to be their union president at one point. Another is the datapoint that was put out in a “SWAPA By The Numbers” podcast this past summer… about a third of the pilot group do not seek reimbursement for their FAA medical. How unbelievable is it that 3000ish pilots either do not know how seek reimbursement, don’t know they are contractually entitled to reimbursement, or are too lazy to submit the receipts??? All three reasons are just unacceptable. That’s about $400K/year the company gets to keep… or the equivalent of one Kool Aid Commander retiring with 1600 sick trips.

And remember, Casey just point-blank stated in SWAPA's recent YouTube video ("Your SWAPA Execs Discuss SAV, Pickets, and What's to Come") that SWA pilots are "extremely educated." They're not just "well educated" according to him. They're "extremely educated."
On what planet?
We think the company is out to lunch for failing to acknowledge its tech debt? Just a couple of months ago, in October, for example, Watterson claimed SWA's scheduling system is "the best in the world." Lol. The entire world was then able to turn around and witness the disastrous results of the company's willful naïveté that allowed Watterson to make that statement with a straight face.
Yet, SWAPA leadership seems to similarly have their head in the sand regarding where our pilots stand in terms of education. Otherwise, how could Casey make such an off-base claim with a straight face? Like the company with respect to its tech debt, SWAPA leadership is also not doing anything about the pilot groups' deep ignorance besides token attempts that amount to nothing more than blather. Does SWAPA leadership expect its own lack of contact with reality to result in anything other than what it has always resulted in (a lagging contract)?
It's embarrassing. Much worse, it's likely going to result in me and anyone else who cares living for the next X years under a contract that will reflect SWAPA's ostrich-like approach to negotiating a contract.
