Ive realized the amount of people who have been here 20 years and have NO CLUE how our current contract works is pretty crazy.
I don't trust they will vote informed... If they haven't taken the time yet to figure out the piece of paper than controls their pay and lives.
Im not talking understanding all the convoluted reserve pay rules, etc, I'm talking basic stuff.

What gets me is why hasn't SWAPA made a more concerted effort to educate its members? Are they apathetic to the problem, dont realize there is a problem or are the problem themselves? Honestly could be all three or a mixture of it, not really sure. I feel like this could all be summed up in a one page document.

I took it as. WTH are they spending the increase on? Why did we vote for the increase? They aren’t doing anything different…yet. Time will tell real soon I hope.

We are nowhere close to a turd being floated. The re-write is a much bigger deal than they anticipated. Almost all of our sections are major laggards and fails. We still have large percentages of people picking up and trying to help scheduling do their job. There were lots of senior people working over the Christmas debacle. Seniority here is only for the seat. You have far better options elsewhere.

I know you're not advocating boycotting OT pick up, right?
