Those style points are as useful as stockpiling 1600 sick trips at retirement. I used to sit towards the back but got tired of the seat-kicking toddlers and waiting too long to deplane. Now I sit a row or two ahead of the exits, about where other airlines that actually assign seats put non-revs and Jumpseaters when they can.

sat towards the back on a DH recently, I was trying to be polite. As I was deplaning, had a nonrev FA give be “the business” for not helping “clean the airplane”…… I really don’t understand why we are the way we are, but…. When I’m working a flight I pitch in…. When I’m riding the corporate shuttle crammed in the back because of an operational mishap, I’m not cleaning the aircraft. Yep, I’m that guy, I grab me bags and walk off…..

That’s the most insane thing I’ve heard today. Why would you do that? Don’t you have cleaners?

I don’t clean; not because I don’t want to help the FAs, but because they should hire actual cleaners.
Some things that would improve turn times:
cleaners, assigned seats, no more pax count napkins, utilize the electronic ability to transmit fuel and loads, electronic releases and acceptance, etc.
We don’t need to jump through hoops to get things done when there are alternatives in already place to make us more efficient and they just refuse to use them.
