Oh trust me, I have looked at everything.
My reasons
Currently living in a junior AA domicile (moving not a option)
Been commuting for years to one of the most senior SW domiciles (tired of commuting)
Money is not a factor (own 3 side businesses)
Tired of SWA schedules and the 737
AA is retiring the top 50% pilots, 7500 to be exact, in the next 8 years.
Upgrade dropping to 1.5 to 2 years where I live
I know it’s risky, but I’m going for it
Cheers

Oooooooo, a new poster with a brand new login. Perhaps you can introduce yourself and let the community decide if you be real before we unpack and examine our soiled underoos.
Edit, I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt since your post from September doesn’t sound like a FH troll. SWA is seriously screwed up and you’d have to be crazy or desperate to come here. MAYBE come here to land the job and then just go anywhere else where the HQ of the damn place doesn’t collectively hate every pilot’s guts.
To more fully answer your question: I’m still here because I ignored the copious amounts of writing on the wall and stuck it out too long. Don’t be like me.

Respect! You have the guts to make a change vs wasting your life crying about your choices online. Good luck to you! As a business owner you know how AA’s balance sheet looks so double respect for taking the risk.
We all make choices! Congrats.
One question, if your home was in a junior WN base and you didn’t have to commute, would you make the same choice?

If you don't mind, can you shed any light on what type of side businesses you have?
