Ahhh no no no! I was told by the media folks here that Epoch Times is not valid for use as it’s hardly a media source!!

The DOT has tweeted the same message previously about other airline meltdowns.

Perhaps someone can do a little research and find out if any operational meltdown in airline history held a candle to this one. I am genuinely curious if these cancellation numbers/percentages have ever been beat.

does any other airline operate as many domestic flights as SWA? I’m guessing There’s your answer

AA probably, but it's spread across several operating certificates, mainline and regional. So separate functional systems.

I think the lost revenue and compensation is going to be extremely large - approaching 9000 flights and counting - back of napkin number is scary.

It’s not gonna imperil a company like LUV with the industry’s best balance sheet but - ooof.
