SWA will be just fine. There will be some C-Suite ax throwing and then you'll be back to normal by spring break. While the people I know are disappointed in what happened, me and my closest friends will still buy tickets because of the directs.

Spring is a ways out. Hope there isn't another wx fiasco this year. It'll be even harder to recover if it happens again.

If I missed Christmas and New Years because of the airline I picked had a meltdown. Don’t believe I would gamble my spring break on them. This will impact Southwest for longer than many think. There will be people avoiding booking them for at least a year due to this event.

This is a black swan event for Southwest. Had it been a couple of days it might have passed under the radar. This may not be fully recovered for almost two weeks. That’s a deep impact. The early stages of Southwest life was a business school example of success. The current chapter is an example on how not to run an operation and what not to say in a crisis.

I’ve burned 60,000 miles on an accord I got for $500, I’d roll the dice on an old Honda or Toyota over just about anything else.

Haha. This reminds me of how no one would ever be willing to fly in a Max and Boeing is doomed!! All bluster. Please….

Actually you might break even or make a profit. Just for laughs I bought an exceptionally clean ‘98 Civic EX last year for $3800 (98Kmis) when gas was at its highest. Drove it for six months and sold it for $5500

If the FAA starts poking around , they will not be to happy to see that even before the meltdown we had pilots on duty for over 21 hours .

So you're saying pilots knowingly violated federal regulations?
