I wonder many others will do the same. Lots of Potential cpts have kids in school and the majority of upgrades happen during spring break. Could we see a 120xxx upgrade during that time?
Spring break out in CO is mid-March. So the March vacancy with Feb training will be finishing then possibly. The April vacancy will have training starting then.

With 250ish upgrades for those 2 months I’m guessing we’ll be right on the cusp….Still have 400ish with no clue on how many will bypass between us and most Jr CA. I’m betting on the May/June vacancies…

I think that could easily happen by the summer. Going to still be a ton of bypasses and seems like LAS, LAX, and OAK are hanging as the junior CA spots. Would be crazy to commute from an east coast base to upgrade.

For sure. Based on the last bid it looked like the Junior upgrades were to the Etops bases and the DEN vacancies went to the people working their way back east. MDW got quite a few laterals too.

Any idea when a 1291XX number might be able to upgrade?

There are 306 on the current system list who were hired in 2015. So if I had to guess....you'll see 2015 hires going to upgrade in the April/May timeframe at the latest.
I’m an August 2015 hire. Got a classmate in LAX starting upgrade training on 5Dec.. so, 7 years and 3+ months to upgrade.

Assuming they meet their hiring/upgrade quota next year....could be 2024 if they're lucky? We're in mid-'14's and a 129xxx is a mid-'17 so there's a big group of people to sort though first.

Lancing I'm assuming....I've been close in LAS and LAX but I'm not going to commute and hope to give things away with nobody picking up anything off TTGA

Lance captains aren’t real captains. Actual upgrade time is 8+ years and 11+ on the east coast

Looks like the late 2015 hires have a real shot by spring.

You serious, Clark? I’ll make more lancing than I will as a senior FO and most captains that just fly the line. I’d lance for 5 years if the company would allow it. Better than being at the bottom of the CA list sitting 4-day weekend reserve. Plus the dudes on the ramp and at airport food joints call me “Cappy” right now. I don’t need to wear 4 stripes full time to feel like I’ve made it.

I’m a BWI FO and expect to hold “real” CA before the end of next year…. Which will be 8 years, 4 months.
