So what happens if you get the award for let’s say April but you have two weeks of vacation then?

I’m pretty sure they allow you to swap them to whatever weeks are still available in open time or convert them to floating vacation.. My memory is a bit fuzzy on that one, but that somewhat rings a bell. Anyone feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.

If you’re projected to be awarded upgrade during a vacation month you’ll get an email from planning reminding you to check your bid or be prepared to move the vacation. Once it’s actually awarded, planning will send an email and tell you to call and tell them where you want to move your vacation (anything other than holiday weeks I believe).

I had vacation in the beginning of the month I upgraded and called them ahead of the bid closing to make sure they could get me in the second class of the month so I could keep the vacation. They were helpful, and I was lucky there was a second class that month.

So you can move it literally anywhere other than holidays and a true non floating vacation week?

Don't quote me on that, but I think that's what they offered. I was pretty focused on keeping the week I had, so once they approved that I pretty much ignored everything else they sent.

Fair enough.. I totally get that as there’s lots of things to process at that moment. . I guess I just don’t see them creating and offering a random true vacation week anywhere you like (except holidays) out of the kindness of their hearts. Floating vacation, yeah. I could be wrong.. wouldn’t be the first time today!

I looked at the December boards of quite a few of the new upgrades. Surprised that only a couple had loaded up with extra trips. Quite a few are below guarantee 🤦‍♂️

pretty sure it's just floating vacation.
I'm in the same boat with vacation and plans in both March and April and will have a shot at upgrade during that time. I'll bypass.
I wonder many others will do the same. Lots of Potential cpts have kids in school and the majority of upgrades happen during spring break. Could we see a 120xxx upgrade during that time?
