WN Pilot Shortage
#81
NEWSFLASH: The vast majority of us never wanted to work at nor put in apps at SWA.
Maybe you can’t wrap your mind around it, but a backwards Texas regional airline with a long upgrade, super clapped out -300s that smelled like dog$h!t, flying 3-5 legs a day not using VNAV, Autobrakes, or even Autothrottles, and known for being challenged wrt keeping their jets on the pavement, was not a career option that most of us at AirTran were interested in pursuing.
Your giant ego is on full display with your previous statement and I know it won’t let that sink in.

Hard to have any respect for the opinions of a guy that has stated in the past, on this site, how he would screw over any union brother or sister in his current union the first chance he gets... Just an observation from your previous posts during a previous contract negotiation.

I never worked for Valuejet but I know they didn’t have a problem keeping jets on the pavement unlike the airline I do work for now.
You can try to lump me in with the scab beginnings of AirTran all you want. I’ve been on strike for nearly three months and have done more union work than your average airline pilot has, having headed up a committee both as vice chairman and chairman.
What have you done for the betterment of the profession?

Surely you have to possess enough intelligence to realize that certain selfish actions can have long term repercussions.

Ha! Now it’s all about union brothers and solidarity huh? Maybe you should have been concerned about that a decade ago when it was more about stealing all the seniority SWA & SWAPA could blackmail for you and “capturing” all the captain seats.
Surely you have to possess enough intelligence to realize that certain selfish actions can have long term repercussions.

Again, you have made my point... FWIW, you are not the only human to have been negatively affected by a merger. It is always about you. I see where you stand and I sincerely hope that others do to. Very unfortunate...
