Assuming BJ isn’t one of the casualties. After the Valentines Day Masacre the JetBlue board of directors fired David Neeleman and he was the founder. Wouldn’t be surprised to see the SWA board send someone high profile to spend more time with their families just to show they’re doing something.

Had a Captain call me a nerd because I happened to mention visiting ComicCon with my son. That was fun. Now I know what it would’ve been like to fly a three day trip with Biff Tannen.

Haha, I actually enjoy the conversation that comes out when someone has completely different hobbies or experiences than me. Lots to learn. Point being as long as you can converse…I used “nerd” tongue-in-cheek, but was thinking more of someone who can’t engage. Fortunately few and far between.

I shouldn’t be basing my career decisions on an anonymous forum, but this is an eye opening thread for someone with a CJO…Every SWA pilot I personally know seem to be happy with the company.
Speaking of alternatives, with all the negativity surrounding AAL on their threads, would they be still be considered a career option (I also have an interview with them soon)?

(Before yall flame me, yes I was out working during the mayhem this past week. It sucked, and we need some serious improvement in management and IT. And I'm an automatic No vote with the first POS contract that they inevitably bring us)

Politely hi-jacking the thread here…I’m a mil guy with a CJO from SWA, so I don’t have experience flying more than 2 legs a day (even flying two legs a day is rare).
Does flying 2-4 legs a day truly get tiring in your 50-60s? To me, it seems SWA offers more days off per month, but you work harder when you’re at work.

I like 2 leg days and rarely fly 3. I did 3 plus a DH last week and was pretty tired on short final of leg4. I’m late 50’s.

For someone who is in Vegas what does everybody think the better option is? Will be staying in Vegas long term. SWA is huge in Vegas but only one plane type. United’s new base will be smaller in Vegas with the same plane as SWA but other types of flying would be nice if willing to commute to LAX/SFO. Just trying to worth the pros/cons of both. Thanks!
