I wrote the SWAPA BOD yesterday about seeing what can be done regarding the scab in the MDW CP’s office negotiating against us while still staying on our seniority list.

Today I’ll be pressing for an answer as to why we’re not in mediation. I can see a delay because of Covid 🙄, but what excuse do we have now for not getting the mediation clock rolling?

Let’s roll!

Yep. I agree. Covid can explain why it may have been reasonable to not file for mediation during the 6 to 12 months after negotiations started in March 2020. I get that.

But after that? That’s way more difficult to understand.

I’m guessing SWAPA figured they had it in the bag. The UAL TA and the AA deal show that the companies aren’t very scared. If a recession is coming, the airlines will continue to drag it out. We all know the big three hire until they fire—they don’t care. Seems like their execs talk to each other.

Very true and makes me think of Mr ALPA ( Randy Babbit ) who WN management hire to take on SWAPA. Some in this world will do anything for a buck .

Weird thing I've been hearing lately from thosni fly with, and they think it's right, is that the retro wont be based off of a xx% raise right off the bat bit prorated based off of 2020, 2021, 2022 etc at a much much lower %.these guys are saying we should only expect retro off of 2% in 2022 and maybe 2-4% 2021 and maybe 5% 2022.
is this for real? Or are they trying to save the comapny?

Ask them if they’re aware that we get random drug tested.

But didn't they hear that Bob Jordan recently told an upgrade class there would be no retro??? It's so confusing when nothing has been said publicly or agreed upon...SMH

Jordan can call it retro or a signing bonus. I could care less. I want back pay at 100% and my 401k to be made whole from them stalling.
