It’s pretty simply. Let’s not complicate this. Everyone who deliberately picked up VOLUNTARY open time today engaged in scab-like behavior while their fellow pilots sweltered in the blazing heat in an effort to secure an improved contract FOR ALL OF US.
I’m not sure what’s so difficult to understand about that.

It’s still individual if I blab about it on the internet because I am not a SWAPA rep or exec. I’m just a Joe Schmoe line pilot that’s got no problem shaming those that deserve to be shamed for voluntarily flying today.

Yep. We (AA) had the same crap happen during our Wall Street picket earlier this month. I understand if guys couldn't get the time off, or had family obligations, etc. But foregoing the picket to go fly on days off? Yeah, that's straight douchebag material - I don't care the excuse. It's not the same as being a scab, but the behavior is coming from the exact same part of the brain.

If enough people didn’t pick up open time that it impacted the company’s ability to conduct interstate commerce AND they could prove it was a result of a concerted action conducted by the pilots, yes, the company could move to obtain an injunction and an award of damages, payable by the union and/or even possibly individual pilots.
I don’t think they’d have a case based on today’s picket but some of the comments made on here that could be interpreted as attempting to intimidate pilots who picked up open time might be able to be used as evidence of a “concerted action” just like APC comments were successfully used as evidence against the Spirit pilots in 2017. We’ve gotta be careful with stuff like that otherwise we could end up shooting ourselves in the foot.

Not sure what your story is but let’s get something straight. SWAPA said noting about working during the picket. Speaking of legal counsel, you are on a fine line of Defamation.

I'm sure they (SWAPA) didn't say anything about not picking up open time during the picket. SWAPA is blnot the only way to coordinate a work group, and it's unwise to have this thread, that's my point, nothing even close to defamatory. But as stated, I don't work there, never will and don't have a dog in the fight, but you do you.

SWAPA has no say on what goes on here or FB. They do monitor, and take action on the union fourm . SWAPA has no culpability of what goes on with APC.
