Default A pilot shirt thread? Why not?

In the market for a new pilot shirt. I currently have A Cut Above shirts but would like something different.

I came across these shirts from a company called “Flight”. They look like they could be good but they have eyelets and I don’t wear wings as a SWA pilot. Also, the size chart for both the “slim” fit and the “athletic” fit don’t work for me because the chest is too small on the LG slim fit (38.5-39.5”) and the waist seems like it’s too big on the MED athletic fit (39-41”) so I’d either have a way too tight shirt in the chest or a shirt with a huge baggy waist area.

Anyway, who has some good recommendations?

For some reason my wife bought me one of these for father's day. Maybe she wants me at work more and home less... Anyway, I'm 5'10 165. The large was too small around the arms, shoulders, torso, and belly. Mostly the arms and shoulders. the only place it fit was the neck. I would maybe try the XL if it weren't for the eyelets for wings / nametag. It seems they don't make one without. Also, they're thin and likely makes out of recycled water bottles, dead cats, or something. Overall I'd definitely stick with acutabove...

I actually bought one of the newer style M&H shirts last time I was at training and it fits pretty well and has the soft inside collar like the cut above shirts.

I second Jetseam. I like them better than ACA and definitely better than M&H

I bought 3 M&H at training last year and I'm not pleased. I wear a clip on tie, i hate ties. I take off my tie and unbotton my shirt every leg. My Pilot Shop shirts would just wear out due to use. M&H, in less than one year, I have had to replace all 3 top buttons, the thread has come lose. On one of the shirts the button hole has frayed.
I hate the M&H so thanks for starting this thread, I've been looking at other options.

Ditch the clip-on ties and get a zipper tie. They look marginally better in my opinion and if necessary you can unbutton the top shirt button and just tighten the tie to close it up.

Clip ons look terrible. But, people are crazy. Zipper and regular ties give someone the opportunity to control your action fairly easy if they get ahold of your tie. I would never wear a regular tie to work.

There are no zipper ties in the approved SWA tie line up I believe.

As a guy inbound to Indoc in about a month, when should I start buying this stuff? I’d include luggage and headset in the question too.

(coming from the military so I’m very clueless)
