Zap, on the FO side, utilization is extremely high, with the exception of a couple OAK datapoints. If you’re interested in being a hotel bum you could leave a pass preference in OAK and have a lower utilization rate and a chance at the 7hr RAP release on last day. In most other bases it seems you’ll get used near 100%.
The most recent datapoint for me; 5am wake up to get on first of two options to sit on a 737 jump seat for 3hr flight to get into base for a 5hr sit to DH 3 more hrs to then operate one leg. Always min credit trips on reserve or some split to cover mash up. Back to base last day at the very end of the rap so no options to get home and the earliest one the next day gets me there mid afternoon. Commuting sucks. Commuting to reserve really sucks.

One thing to consider for AM reserve if you are looking at upgrading to OAK is how late the AM etops trips get in from the islands. Earliest to oak is around 4pm local. Some AMs get back around 7pm local. FedEx and or red eyes from SFO become an option.

Quick look for you, assuming DAL is your commute base, is if you run out of LAX, you have LGB/SNA as well if you needed it. But they have an early AM LAX-DAL that gets you back by 10AM. Which isn't that bad.
Id hold out for LAX and avoid the 2 leg BS through OAK.
How senior is LAS/DEN on the captain side?

Yeah I noticed BUR also has a shuttle bus that runs to LAX every so often too. All good options.
The more I look the less appealing OAK seems. Seems like just being patient for another 6 months or a year might make a big QOL difference.
Thanks again!
