I left after 6 months because of various reasons but one was because the rumors on here and reality aren’t usually close.
It wasn't a glitch, the latest AE also had more 2021 upgrades. Hell one of my buddies hired march 2020 (one of the last classes precovid) is 78% 737nyc

Yeah it's not everywhere yeah it's not every airframe. But don't kid yourself that American is anywhere Close to upgrade times at UAL or DAL. Or somehow justify the 8 year to be a plug ANYWHERE at SWA as somehow better.

I'm not at Delta or swa. i have no dog in the fight I'm just here to point out facts.

BIL at DLA seems to paint a different picture (not bad but not so rosy) but whatever, AAs junior NB CA was around 2 years TOS when I left (could be wrong I didn’t pay that much attention at the end). The guy I replied to said you could be a line holding CA at any of the other NB bases in way less time which simply isn’t true…

I don’t know I’m going to make a good amount more in my first post OE month here while working the same amount of days then I ever did at AA while sitting SC/LC on 5on/2off blocks.

[QUOTE=elmetal;3429897]??? Delta has 2021 hires in left seat of 737 NYC. United has upgrades under 2 years...

American is by far the longest upgrade of the 3 right now.

How long you'll be sitting reserve is a different story.

The AA upgrades are a but longer due to the fleet downsizing. Lots of 75/76/330 dudes and dudettes went back to NBs because they didn't want to move/commute/go down in seniority etc. There's 1500-3000 #s on the top of some of the NBs because of it. It's fine, I'd have done the same thing if I was them. It's just added a little bump to the upgrades. 3-4 yrs is still amazing compared to what's it's been in the past. And of course, those same folks will be retiring in the next 3-5 anyway so it'll come down again. Good times either way. Now...so, section 6 right?

5 and 20, the rest is nonsense.
F..k that! They’re crazy if they think I’m showing up to training five months early. Matter of fact, I’m not showing up three or four months early either.

Why the hell are we subjecting ourselves to more jeopardy events in our careers than we have to?

Mine was moved from July to April this year. April worked better for me anyway, but damn.
