Way more likely than the inefficiencies created by a fleet of maybe a dozen used 767 sized widebodies that we would fly only to those places that accept US currency.
Bring it. How about some A220-100s? 737-500 size. I’ll be all over it.

Yep. Any fleet diversification that opens up seats and routes would be a good thing as long as SWA pilots making SWA pay rates are operating them.

That “RJ” is WAAAAAAY nicer than the MAX7 and has better economics & performance. RJ my a$$.
I'd take any current E-175 provider over a mainline product or us any day, let alone ULCC's.... I have not been on A220 yet, but I wouldn't knock it.

The only reason 175s in the United States are comfortable is cause they are limited to 76 seats by scope. Much less comfortable over in Europe where they have 88 in an all economy configuration. Also they have to check half the bags every flight on the 175

Exactly.

And since the 737-800 isn't worth any more to fly than a -300, it seems only fitting that an E190 or something like that shouldn't pay any less. After all, they set the precedent.

Apparently an LCA at Envoy makes more than a United widebody captain now.

I’m going through training right now and a lot of people around HQ and LEAD like to say stuff like “Southwest doesn’t fly worldwide… YET”.

I’m at the training center as well and I’m hearing the same thing. I’ve heard the 787 rumor now a couple times
