I did one day on interisland flying and I’ll never bid for it again. Legs were blocked at over an hour for what is essentially a :20 minute flight. They’re all on -800s so you have a 45-50 minute turn between legs. So you block in :30 early every flight and then twiddle your thumbs for an hour and a half, FIVE times in one day. Flew 1:20 and sat for 6 hours. Couldn’t wait for that day to be over.

Not to worry. We have lots of five leg days on the west coast now.

True but I’d take that every time over sitting around 80% of my day. Flew on the east coast for 15 years. Give me a 5 legger Cali day over that every time.

I just said the same thing yesterday after doing five inter-island legs with long sits in between. I plan to avoid those types of trips at all costs.

it’ll be interesting to see how the trips are scheduled when inter island ramps up to 60 a day while crossings are reduced starting September.

So you got paid for an hour block leg, blocked 30-35 minutes and you’re complaining about it?

Who’s complaining. I just chose not to do
it in future.

Whackmaster….you spend a lot of time on here telling people they’re idiots. It’s a stinky cologne dude.

Fact. I just had one recently for the first time in probably 4-5 years. Easy flying, great scenery, but our big stations struggle on the ground so bad that it is like being punched in the face all day.

SBA is the exception. Contract station that can genuinely turn a full 700 in 22 minutes. I witnessed it.

Uh…..sounds like complaining to me 🙄

And I never told you or even insinuated that you’re an “idiot”.

Well let me rephrase then. You seem to spend most of your time on here sharing your opinion of everyone else and it’s usually just sh!t talking.

Well, I’ll admit to this….I do tend to complain a lot about things that truly are worth complaining about.

Being a self-professed Eastern European metrosexual redneck ….I don’t sh!t-talk. That’s got nothing to do with being a metrosexual redneck but rather the fact that most….er….almost all, Eastern Europeans DO NOT sh!t talk.

They just cut the sugarcoating out and tell it like they see it.
