Here's a newsflash... I want an APOLITICAL employer. I want the only color to matter here be green - MONEY. This is an airline, not a social media company. Not a social justice company. Not a political party. An airline.
I'm sick of the divisive bull***t masked as "inclusivity", I'm tired of "featuring" this race or that race, this gay, that lesbian, this transsexual, this non-binary, etc. and implying you're an evil human being if you don't care to have that shoved in your face on a daily basis. Here's a newsflash I want to see:
"VP of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion spends a week in DEN throwing bags and getting mando'd into double shifts."
"This is the SWA Ramper's month. We will feature DEN ramp and the challenges they face and go to various bases and outstations."
"This month, we will spend a month with our Pilots and see how we all integrate together into this fine-tuned machine called Southwest Airlines."
So on and so forth.
I couldn't give two diddly squats about someone's race, who they sleep with, who they're married to, what their religion is... I see a hustling CoHeart. I see an example for others to follow. Don't make me look at his race. Make me look at his jersey that shows SOUTHWEST AIRLINES and celebrate him or her for what they contribute to Southwest Airlines.
When I see Bob Jordan on TV on CNBC mind you... financial news only, talking about DEI and environment, I want to puke. We are an airline, not a social club. I want him to talk airline sh*t, not some wokester idea of social justice sh*t.

You aren't getting what I am saying at all. My bag has a 5/20 sticker on it. I scroll right through that silly garbage and instantly delete it because it doesn't matter to me.
You need to ask yourself why it produces such an emotional reaction from you. It shouldn't. It's just pandering. Nobody inside the boardroom gives a crap about that stuff except in how it inflates the value of the stock price, and therefore their ability to make money.
Every big American corporation and government organization under both parties does the exact same thing. It's noise.
Watch what they do. Not what they say. Don't get distracted by shiny objects. Stand tall for our profession and let's get the contract we deserve. The rest is a distraction.

Has anyone heard that supposedly a new hire has been falsely accused by one of these social justice heroes that he was heard at the bar talking badly about transsexuals and now People Department is involved?
supposedly one small problem… the accused individual’s name doesn’t match the description given by the wokester.
You can only turn blind eye to this type of nonsense for so long.
