The latest from the new CEO is no contract in the near future, both sides have good people negotiating it is just going to take a long time. Also he knows what Encore ( yes the correct name is Envoy ) just got .

If I were an airline CEO, and I thought a protracted recession was right around the corner. I’d drag my feet, wait for the legacies to do what legacies do during recessions (shrink , outsource, and furlough), and then go into negotiations and say “we can’t afford raises! Have you seen the economy?!” The RLA gives them all of the time in the world to wait for an economic environment that favors management and hamstrings labor.

The next recession probably won't be long barring some sort of bolt out of the blue event. 1-2 quarters caused by the fed putting the brakes on the economy before things normalize. Pilots can stall too.

So one month ago he said something along the lines of "I want to get this thing negotiated as soon as possible". Now, a month later, with the economy heading straight into the ****ter, he says it's going to take a long time? Never saw it coming!
