If you're a regional CA who commutes out of BNA (about a 1.5 hour drive,) and offered a job at SWA, would you stay at SWA or continue to seek the big 5 (AA/UA/DL/FDX/UPS)? I feel like the commute for the big 5 is easier than the commute for SWA, plus the wide body stuff and lower upgrade times and quicker seniority movement.

Wait wait...UPS is in big 5 but SWA isn't?

I heard that BNA is the next base...

BNA has always been the mythical base since I started 121 in 2000.

Ditch your regional and go to SWA! Really? Stay at a regional until the other majors pick you up?

i'd never stay at a regional over swa, but would you leave swa for a legacy?

Simple. Like really simple. You take the SWA job and keep applying towards the Legacies (or better yet UPS/FedEx).

Correct, unless I fly a 4 day with a BNA commuter...then I spend 4 days explaining to them why it will be STL.
