Sureeeeee. Next thing we know we are being sued. Guess who pays for that? Stop thinking that you are some tough guy because you dont pick up OT and are sticking it to the "the man".
Also, again, I dont pick up OT, I will however pull from a giveaway, but I also dont think the 10 people our of 1000 in each base that do it are somehow the reason we dont have a contract.

there is a reason the banner at the top of these forums talks about it and there is a reason our own union talked about it.
You coming on here and trying to shame people for doing what this pilot groups has historically done at record levels doesn’t help anything and I would think if asked, SWAPA would encourage you to stop it, much like the moderators here have done.

I am sorry but please remind me how much APA paid of that fine? Do you remember how they were found guilty? Don’t realize they learned from their mistake and when they did it again there was nothing that could be done? In addition can you imagine the recruiting issues a company would get if they sued the pilot group in this market? Good luck getting recruits? Stop being afraid to win!
I have the database of pilots that play in OT it’s muchho higher than 1 percent and would post but after some back and forth between the moderators I am sure that would go over their line as I have already strayed over the line in the past.

Check the list and get up out of the seat if the person you're flying with has picked up open time in the last 3 5 yrs? What about in the last yr after the union said to keep flying extra to build a war chest? Literally shame that said pilot for doing what the union said to?
I've picked up numerous trips out of open time. I'm sure I'm on your list, if not introduce yourself to me by explaining how I'm the problem we dont have a contract and I'll afford you the reason to remove yourself from the cockpit.
Gotta let it go man, you're holding on too tight. . If the union says stop picking up I'll be at home enjoying a nice bourbon, but until then its ****ing in the wind.

I think I have been more than clear in previous posts 1st year guys get a pass. Anyone else I call out to their face. Strangely I have heard just about every excuse under the moon but after digging deeper they all have multiple houses and cars and vacation stuff, nobody has ever stated to my face it’s for a strike fund until after I call them out. Then magically it’s all about the fund. I will shame each and every one of you. The individual doesn’t hurt the cause it’s the 8 percent of the pilot group that hurts the cause you make the ex Continental guys in HOU look like Boy Scouts.
Feel free to disagree, that is your right but after this thing is signed there will be lots of things that come out of the autopsy. One of them is going to be the same thing that came out of the United new contract, OT pickup was a problem.

Let them post away. Picking up OT at this point is encouraged by the union. When the union says to stop, then we have something to talk about.

I admire your anti company animus, but I think it is misplaced right now being aimed at your fellow pilots for doing something that the union has explicitly said they absolutely still need to do. When we are released and SWAPA says to stop picking up, you, me, and 99% of other pilots will be on the same page in that regard. We have a union for a reason, and that is so that we are all pulling in the same direction at the same time. That's how you apply leverage, not by having 11k pilots all on a separate plan.

So no open time, but it's ok for first year guys. Any other personal rules that you have that the whole pilot group should abide by?
