never had to find out as I was assigned a trip that coveres the overlap and they got me to my new base at the end.
I'm sure they have to give you a day plus time for rest before starting new block.
If not call fatigued
If it’s a 6 day block of rsv….make it so you have a RON where it’s most convenient for you to get home (and possibly not get called).

I know you WILL get paid for overlapping dh’s when you bid (straight or premium) and are awarded both halves. I’m not sure what happens when you extra fly one half and pick up from ttga the other. I would NOT rely on contract admin for the answer. Your best bet is to call SWA scheduling and ask them. If they say yes you get paid for both, it’s on tape and you’ll get error pay if the audit comes out not in your favor.
you are exactly right on all counts. Contract admin said I’d get the deadheads. Scheduling said I wouldn’t. I didn’t— it automatically combined the trip and renamed it. however, it pushed the MDH of this new combination to a point that at second year rates, I’m making the same amount of money.

Yes, the getting paid for the deadhead scenario only works when flown from open time. The contract specifically says you won't get paid if you extra fly it from a reserve. I would suspect that in any audit, you will get the EF deadhead unpaid. Maybe not, though.

Can you quote the section in the contract?

I flew this exactly and got paid all dh's. 1st half extra flew, 2nd half OT.

thought the guy said 1st half EF, 2nd half TTGA. So the catch is the TTGA pickup.

I think you're actually correct and I am wrong. Looks like it pays full DHs from everything except MOT. My apologies.
I think my confusion was if it gets assigned to a reserve as a pairing continuation, they just strip the deadheads and you don't get paid for them. This is a different scenario.

I think that’s it. I’m still interested to see what happens during the audit.

I think that had I picked up both ends of this trip in OT, I’d have gotten deadheads. Since one end was EF and the other TTGA, I did not.

edit- weirdly enough the MDH value dropped two tfp overnight. Wtf?

As I understand it, once you check in, it is not FTS, it's FTC.

FTS gets paid from your sick leave.
FTC gets paid by the company.
