That is not necessarily true in January and February. Due to a concession that we gave them last contract (not really sure why we gave ANY concessions), the company can choose to pull reserve blocks out of open time at their discretion either from MOT or, if they choose to leave them in the inventory, after they aren't awarded as multi day blocks.

So, they can either choose to pull them early in the process (they did this during Covid) or they can yank them after they have been run through DOT.

Neat, huh?

We also gave away get sick time accrual rate when awarded POT . It will only be paid out as straight time pay. I wonder what goodies we will give up on the next contract. Let’s not forget it’s like squeezing a balloon or cutting a piece of pie. ( Bang head on wall)

Yes, there's a carveout for January and February being their discretion, but they've been throwing reserve blocks into OT this month. Go figure.

That is actually my favorite concession. It's cost me thousands of dollars so far. A true SWAPA win. Can't wait to see what is in store for my sick bank this go around.

So I’ve been seeing DOT being awarded AR when plenty of ppl are bidding on it…this normal? Just a slow time of the year procedure? Tough to make $$ if that’s normal ops.

There is some POT being awarded but it’s been thin and slim. Look at the national radar map. It’s too calm and peaceful.

it’s normal when the weather is good and reserve staffing is high. You just gotta adjust your game as the winds shift…and be patient.

Normal for Jan/Feb unless there's a big storm that messes things up. Expect a lot of straight bids and reserve usage until spring breaks kicks off.

You mean it's not raining in South FL?

If we have 1 concession, I will vote NO. Ill probably in the 16% group again. If I don't get 1 item we should get, I'll vote NO. Time for this pilot group to get theirs for once at this damn place. The only group that lags its peers and by a significant margin.
