This is still one of the best flying jobs out there (probably number 5 behind UA/DL/UPS/FDX in no particular order). We will have no problem filling classes. They will need to lower their standards some and close up the time from interview to class date. When we are interviewing 1500TT pilots then you'll know we are getting close to have an issue, and we are a long way from that right now.

However, first year attrition will be very interesting.

And you think this is labor/relations problem? Oh, okay.
Oh, I get it now. You're a country is headed for the abyss guy. I was mistaking you for someone with rational thought.

Must be the socialists. Or is it the fascists? I can never remember. Guess I'll forget upgrade and get one of those Missile silo bunkers in South Dakota.

I guess we will see. I don't think the company is going to hit their targets, but they are sure going to try. In any case, it's good to hear positive things for a change instead of doom and gloom. Except for that Skeet guy, I guess.

Maybe they applied and can’t get a interview. I love how everyone is like…why would anyone go to SWA or stay there? Maybe it’s because they’ve been trying for years and haven’t cracked the nut.

Took me 8 years to get the interview here. Month I started training UAL offers a interview. Turned them down. Never heard from FedEx, UPS, DL, or AA. Quit updating stuff the day I started class.

Are you even a Southwest pilot? If so, do you read any company emails? Did you catch anything about MAX fuel burn over -800 on Hawaii flights? Catch anything about what Bob Jordan was talking about when it comes to MAX deliveries? Read up on Investor Relations? Sure doesn't sound like it.

Doubt it.

Trolling it seems.

We should probably revisit how bad this job is next year, once the Dallas Head Shed has pulled its collective head at least part of the way out of it's ass, and staffing has had a chance to catch up. 16 Billion in Cash/Short Term Investments ain't too shabby either when looking at where to work, especially when compared to outstanding debt of 11.2 Billion. Not sure how other Airlines compare but I would think we are close to the top in that category.

I let most of it go. Try to get them to relax. After that. Let them play CA. Sometimes I’ll mess with them and do or say things on purpose. I just sit and chuckle.

I was a 12 yr fo by choice for an extra two years. I did my job as an FO, backed up the CA and only spoke up if it would damage metal or cause paper work or they asked. Made being FO pretty much stress free. Generally I got along with most CAs even those on the list. I hear the names on it now and I am surprised at some. A bud and I have an FO list and it’s getting a little long. I only had 1 CA on mine. They told in new hire to add her.

Some just need to run the jet. It’s not who’d you’d expect either. I’ve told two that could upgrade that they should. Both of them will be on Wazapp within weeks.
