We will see won’t we. You seen the price of fuel? Second largest expense in business. Other carriers are already claiming 4Q not looking good due to fuel prices. If people cannot get food and basic necessities, what makes you think they are going go and buy $400 airline ticket?

Lastly in reference to gas prices. You are looking at nominal and not inflation adjusted pricing. I copied this for you. It clearly shows that adjusted for inflation we are not far off the historical norms. People LOVE to complain about prices of things but they fail to recognize that adjusted for inflation (apples to apples) gas has always cost around the same. In addition interesting to see gas price peak during the Kansas(Spanish Flu) pandemic.

2 week advance ticket from Dal to Las is $350 dollars not including taxes and fees. That’s just one way for one person. So a family of 3 looking to spend over 1050 for one way.

Southwest and America Airlines. But I’m sure you’re more in tuned with Southwest financial sheet than the man running the company. After all you’re a pilot. Good luck on that upgrade in less than 11 years.

Upgrade happens, good for me. If it doesn’t, good for me. The secret to a happy life IMO is to not worry about the things you can not control and nothing I can control less is upgrade.

If I were you I would worry less about the prices of floods and economic tittering and more about stockpiling food for the end days.
Yes, staffing on the ramp sucks. This too shall pass. It's hard to recruit rampers for crap pay to work outside and get mando'd all the time. Eventually, they will get on top of it. I saw a huge group of new hire rampers in PHX yesterday.
