12 year upgrade getting ready to be 8.5 years, as expected. Little hiring between 2009-2012. There was a little lump in the snake there with AirTran junior FOs, but it would appear that it is about digested. Cross country commute means lots of those guys are going to wait it out.

Expect some regression back towards 10 years in September-October due to post vacation bid and not wanting training during the holidays. Back to 8.5 years and lowering in November-December. I expect most 2014 hires will have the chance to upgrade by the end of the year if not soon thereafter (There were only a few months of hiring that year due to AirTran integration classes).

106k employee number. 103k is in the 2012 range I believe.

For a late 2015 hire under the personal snapshot in the SRC tool, it shows 630ish FO’s bidding captain.

I also looked at the Lance Snapshot in the same drop down menu—it has a gray box around LAX indicating our seniority “could” possibly hold it.

Check your bids!

I just see a generic report…where’s the personal snapshot? Using a iPhone so format might be off on mobile

Summer training, jr schedules, possible commute to rsv for a summer that’s going to already be challenging due to staffing.

I’m jr to you and would bypass to fall…I’ve got family plans every month til Sept. and Dallas is miserable in summer. Good to see though….could be my last vacation bid as a FO.

Which brings up an interesting question for you guys. What do you think about bidding for an upgrade in a month that you know you have vacation? Contract says that you don’t have to go to school during vacation, but talked with SRC and they said that the company would try to strong arm you into either moving your vacation, or cashing it out. Reason being we don’t have “alternates” in our CBA, so if you choose not to go that vacancy goes unfilled which is a problem for training scheduling, but also takes a vacancy from someone who might have actually wanted to be there.

Im in the same boat as you, I have vacation in June, July, and August. Next month I’m available is September, but by then as E6B said, it’ll be back to being way senior to me. And then there’s the age 67 monkey wrench that could grind everything to a halt real fast. (Insert Eeyore image here)
