So how does one set up their bids to lance?
besides opting in what is the way to do it?

From what I’ve gathered….you opt in and just bid a base where your seniority is in the Lance range. Once you’re eligible, you go to DAL for training. Get to do it for 1 yr from UOE.

I won’t chase it, but if I can hold it before I can hold CA at 100% I’ll do it.

Actually as a 3- almost 4 year guy I can hold DEN CA on both 320 and 737. But I’ll stay put with my DCA CA slot! I’m even money on SFO/LAX/EWR as far as seniority goes. Although, I’d be a little bit more senior on the guppy…. But then I’d have to fly that POS!

Those numbers are timelines for folks to reach the seniority to hold if hired today/ the near future- based on retirement attrition and not the projected fleet growth. Sorry should have clarified that.

There was also very little hiring for a number of years , so what took someone 4-6 is more like 2-3 approx

Junior captain is June 2011 hire.
New hire FOs in LAS, OAK, and LAX.

Looks like the displacement knot is just about untied. Pretty much every base but ATL and MCO attainable in first 2-3 months.
