If you are ever in Dallas for training (maybe upgrade training?) make sure to skip the stupid rodeo goat and take an uber to Pecan Lodge. Best brisket I have ever had. You will wait in line, but worth it. Burnt ends were off the hook too. I will skip the mac and cheese next time.

I do agree that there will be upgrades starting this fall to help balance out the list, and also new hires at the beginning of 2022.
I would say that 500ish upgrades in 2022 is a good number, the only unknown is the staffing model as mentioned above. If SWAPA convinces the company to go for a more efficient model then there will be less. I’m about 70ish numbers junior to the junior oak captain and I don’t expect to upgrade until the fall of 2022 or later because of this. (I would prefer the company goes with a more efficient model because it creates schedule flexibility, even though it means a longer upgrade for me)
As a 2010 AT hire that would put me right at 12 years. I think at that pace the upgrade time will hover around 12 years and come down slowly as we get to the mid 2020s to around 10 years.

Haven't tried it yet; however, uber ride to Hard 8 BBQ is well worth the trip for excellent Texas Pit smokehouse. It’s sold by weight—you eyes are bigger than your stomach so be ready.
