Lew, did you read the latest RP with regards to what we are asking? Do you have faith in our NC and BOD?

Total plumber mentality.

Make sure you point out to those people that the point of rigs and daily guarantees is not necessarily to get paid not to work, it's to encourage/force the schedule writers/company who makes the schedule to be productive with your time. Who likes going to work to fly one leg, have a 5hr sit and then fly another leg. Work all day for 2.5hrs of pay. Without rigs and daily guarantees you'd have much more of that.

The borg’s response: “We should just be happy to have a job, let alone a job flying jets. I make so much more money than my buddies from high school. Why should we get paid when we’re just sitting on our butts in the airport surfing the Internet?”

All true, but keep this in mind.........

Instead of negotiating for a higher rig to make up for the reduced productivity (longer turn times) when we got the 800s, SWApA and the vast majority of the pilot group handed the company SL 12.

SL6 not only ignored the productivity hit, it also had the pilot group (literally) pay to fly the Game Changer by giving away the 2012 (retro) pay raise.

And yes, I've been pointing this out since SWApA presented SL 6 for the vote.

I've got a lot more faith in the current SAPA regime than those days. Hopefully, they won't put out stuff like that for future votes, because this group loves to vote YES!, against our best interests. Hopefully, that's changed too, but I am not gonna hold my breath.

That should all read SL 6..... SL 12 was yet another in a long list of worthless SLs "we" ratified over the years.

I bet we recall the last 500 by Sept and start hiring by the end of the year as well.

It's anyone's guess. I personally think that's a little quick, but I think we'll be hiring before next summer.
