SW is going to corner itself out of the 737 replacement market with its procrastination of the inevitable. Some current orders will be delivered many years in the future, and with a 20 year life expectancy SWA will be flying the 737 thirty years from now. That’s a bleak prospect.

We’ll still be coal rolling’ with 1950s tech while the rest of the industry is innovating with 2050s tech.
30 years from now we will be a multi fleet airline. I have no doubt the A220 will be apart of the fleet at some point, UNLESS Boeing can develop something better.

The best plane for the mission is more than just flying from A to B. The “mission” is the business. As much as I would like to see something else on property, the best plane for the mission of the business is the Guppy.

Anyone think that the addition of 7s instead of 8s might preclude a twin aisle?

The 7 has increased range over the 8, maybe they will try to stretch that flying. I’m not sure about numbers but what, 400nm?

DEN-HNL is possible. Not enjoyable, but possible.

Nope. Heard the 7 is coming in significantly overweight an is not able to make DEN-HNL as previously claimed.
