Ticket prices are creeping up ever so slowly to offset the reduced capacity. The super ridiculously low $70 round trip fares we saw in May and June are a thing of the past.

I noticed this, as well as some of my friends who asked me, where are the $49 fares? Lol.

We have to increase revenue. I see them adding 5-7 new cities as well. You can charge premium prices for MIA and PSP. Also BZN which I hope to see soon.

Yeah. Since my airline went Tango Uniform this year I have to buy tickets now, scored a couple round trips around $130..now I’m in the $250+ range for round trips.

Hell even if we unblock the middle seats we are still running at like 40%. We aren’t filling them anyway! So then, use it as a feel-good measure.

exactly. These stories of all flights being 'covid full' the past few weeks are just a small sample...not representative of the bigger picture.

Aren't we only selling the seats to the “cap” anyway?

Yep. Only selling to the cap. Swalife shows 50 open on a flight next month I wanted to buy tickets on. Went to southwest.com and flight is unavailable....sold out.

swalife should include the cap - if its 93/143 its sold out, it'll say 0 seats available for sale. If its 43/93 then it would've said 50 available. Unless they hadn't instituted the cap for that far in the future.

I’m non-reviving my lady in and out of DEN this weekend. The flights are FULL (although this obviously doesn’t represent things system wide).

that's exactly what it is. Sometimes far into the future the system doesnt have caps built in. They will soon when its updated. Good thing is that far out being sold out they'll put another plane on the same route and itll only have 10 people on it.
