Wake up between 230 and 3 AM everyday. I try to do less than 11 legs on a 3 day and 14 legs on a 4 day. Chronic fatigue. I would guess FedEx pilots sleep better than SWA

My favorite part about LAX lines (same for LAS and OAK) is when I have a 5am report at LAX, then during a trip that overnights in a different time zone where I get a report sometime between 5am and 7am, which could be as early as 2am pacific time. Those are super awesome and they're still "not redeye" so there's no costly pay override to erode dividends or stock buybacks.

Been saying similar for quite a while about the wake up times, chronic fatigue, and FedEx pilot comparison. But you can't beat our flexibility!

[sarcasm] And, BTW, if you're flying more than three legs in a day more than once every six months or so, you're just bidding really poorly. That's what I've heard. [/sarcasm]

18 days off next month and only 1 four leg day. I’m less than 6 months on property. The max total flying legs I have on any trip is 8. I know you’re supposed to complain on here, but I’ll take it.

From the contract “override will apply to flights that are scheduled and/or operate at any time between 0100 and 0400 inclusive, pairing domicile time.”

Think you might be exaggerating that LA or Oak guys are getting 5am east coast reports. Plenty of things to complain about without making stuff up.

Yes, I forgot to ELITT my line with our awesome flexibility into 20 days off, 1 leg per day, and 140 trips. Thank you CoHearts for reminding me.

Easy fix for your issue.
Set up some text alerts on your phone that will ping incessantly and give up family time so you can run to a computer and trade those bad trips away! With ‘just a little effort’ (time while you’re away from work) you can massage your schedule! Easy Peasy!!!

It has been a rough summer. I fly AMs but even for a morning person, the AMs are very early. Max duty day, high block followed by minimum overnights. Have to choose between eat or exercise or sleep because there's no time for all three.

I really hope schedules start to improve next month because everybody is exhausted.

Less gutting it out, more calling in fatigued. The dummies will pack even more reserve into the lines and it’ll just keep the cycle going.

I’m pretty sure in one of those recent town halls with AW and some VP of something-really-important, the VP said there were no plans to reduce “shoulder flying” (euphemism for extreme early reports or extreme late releases).
