Plus, I like the 737, so YMMV on this one. I enjoy throwing real switches and having mechanical control. The disdain for the 73 is an opinion and not fact.

Which one will make your life easier and happier? Will you have to commute for one and not the other because that is huge? The money is great at all the top gigs. Also realize that contract details are more important than pay rate. For example, a few dollars less per hour all of a sudden pays more when your whole day just went premium because of contractual language.
SWA is pretty easy living IMO, and I’m really happy here.
Good luck with your decision. You really can’t go wrong.

That is a tough choice. I know because I was there. I had a CJO for UAL and SWA.

The only long term effect the MAX groundings will have, is you'll see a smaller profit sharing check next year. We won't furlough (not even close).
Relax people it's a small hiccup in our operation everything will be back to normal SWA ops in no time.

I really hope you're right but I'm hearing many different things out there. I hope they are just rumors and it will be resolved sooner then later. The fact is we cancelled MAX schedule through August 5th. That's 4 months from now! It's obvious they know is not a short term fix anymore. I'm hearing it's more than the MCAS and the LEAP engines might be under scrutiny as well. Again, hoping it's all rumors. I agree with you we shouldn't worry about furloughs yet, but I wouldn't call it a small hiccup.

9/11 - no furloughs at Southwest. Profit Sharing paid.
Great Recession - no furloughs at Southwest. Profit Sharing paid.
AirTran merger and parking 88 aircraft - all pilots kept, no furloughs, Profit Sharing paid.
79 Classics parked virtually overnight - no furloughs. Profit Sharing Paid.
34 planes temporarily grounded?
