ID90’s on Southwest
Do you guys offer ID90s and how do I buy them? My son and I are going to catch up to the family vacation at RSW after his game tomorrow. I had ID90’s on AA for tonight to MIA but they won today so they play tomorrow and the family is moving to the west coast of FL.
I tried the IDtravel site but it didn’t offer SWA ID90’s. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Scenario
SWA Pilot wants to purchase tickets for him, his wife, and two kids to fly to Atlanta to visit sick Grandma. Purchase is preferred to secure a seat. Grandma may not be around much longer and the family needs to get to Atlanta, now.
Ticket price for non-airline employee Joe Public is $500 per person, round trip.
How much of a discount can SWA pilot buy tickets for travel on other carriers ?
How about on SWA ?
Thank you

We're getting into a bit of thread creep here but I'll give you one SWA captain's perspective.
The options on SWA are full-fare or stand-by.
When I fly, I buy first-class on Delta or American (also have used premium coach on United for international.) American was an abysmal experience.
When I (rarely) travel, I want to get there and not stand around airports hoping to get on some flight, some day. If I can't afford tickets, who can?

At some Airlines (not SWA) you can buy discounted tickets on your own airline any time you want, and space positive ZED fares on other carriers.
This option is not available on SWA - with a couple of minor exceptions.
1. Every year the company gives you two discount codes worth 20% off to use on SWA. The 20% off works both with dollars or Rapid Rewards Points
2. The company provides you with ‘points’ for every month you have perfect attendance. These points can be converted into Rapid Rewards Points and used to purchase space positive travel. I’ve been able to take two family vacations per year for our family of three by cashing in these points for wanna-get-away fares and the discount codes I mentioned above. It’s a great deal — even though I think incentivizing pilots to work sick is no bueno.
Finally, we are NOT able to buy ID90s for the first class cabin on other airlines. It is because we don’t have a reciprocal benefit to offer. Occasionally I’ve been moved to first class by a friendly crew on other airlines, but that wasn’t something I was entitled to - just a pleasant surprise.
