Don't waste your money with the Cockpit Companion. It goes way more into detail than you need to know. Better app is the B737 Interactive app by eric cannon for 19.99.

You’re going to have to do them again when you get here, so don’t waste your time. Spend time with family. Look at checked limits and immediate action items.

Got the call a couple days ago! There were many options for classes. I picked a class just over two weeks away from the call.

CJO you get day after interview (it’s a CJO to authorize background check, everyone gets it even if you don’t get hired) two weeks or so after interview is the decision board, then you heard that day usually but sometimes later if you got it. There are hints along the way you’re doing well like background check info needed or referrals being called. Class offered this time around was 13 days away from my DB, 20 days away and 30 days (from DB).

It's up to you. Decision board when you get the call is a Wed roughly 2 weeks after your interview. Within the week (after that) you will start getting emails one of which will be instructions to pick a class date. There are a couple options which are typically the first available. If you don't want those you can email them back and they will send you later options. You have up to 120 days to start class, so that should give you plenty of time for a cruise.

Delaying a class to take a cruise sounds like something that someone who has never been furloughed might do.

Take the earliest possible class. Seniority is everything. You’ll be able to squeeze in a cruise once you’re on the line.
