For what it's worth, I interviewed recently and didn't get hired. 20 years of C-130, 4k, Evaluator.
I felt good when I left the interview, but I obviously didn't do something right. Don't take it lightly (not that I did).

This just goes to show that pilots will complain about anything. People have been asking forever about the TPIC requirement going away, and now that it's gone guys are complaining about MIL vs CIV numbers when the application window hasn't even closed yet.

I can't speak to everyone's experiences, but in my past assignment, we flew SIDs/STARs and various approaches to practically every country in Asia minus North Korea and China. Everyone's mileage may vary but the arguement that a lot of mil guys don't have a lot experience flying SIDs and STARs is idiotic at best. Neither the 10000 RJ captain nor the Weapons School Evaluator pilot is entitled the job over the other. Both bring valuable skill sets to the team.
