The reason I ask is 'cos I've got a couple thousand hours as PIC in Pilatuses, and a little over 500 PIC multi-engine jet (Challenger). I log about 40 hours a month in the jet, so at least it's adding up quickly.

I've always wondered if they look at that Pilatus PIC as junk time ...
Geez, I hope not considering how many low time single engine jet pilots they hire

Hah! Good one. But something tells me Suburban With a Turbine time isn't factored quite as favorably as single-engine fighter time.

Still, if anyone has any insights about how little or much PC-12 time actually counts, I'd appreciate it.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think the application specifies whether it's multi or single TPIC. I'd say it's as good as any TPIC...

And it has happened. Southwest dropped the "Required" 1,000 TPIC. The pilot credentials website now lists "a minimum of 1,000 in turbine aircraft as pilot in command is PREFERRED"

Check the link: https://swa.pilotcredentials.com/?a=qualifications

Now what this means for folks with 0 TPIC time vs those with 900 TPIC time is beyond me, but I'm sure it's a glimmer of hope for many!

The people most likely to benefit from this change are Air Force pilots that were affected by sequestration over the past few years. The typical civilian only pilots still show up to class with several thousand PIC hours.

Yup. Great news for guys caught up in the unmitigated tragedy that was sequestration.

Not so much for the folks who lost a full decade of advancement to 9/11, Age 65, the '08 recession, etc.
