This is what scares me about skywest.... few hired between 2008-2013 (hence fast upgrades now) but lots and lots hired since then. Upgrade times are elastic.

When I was hired at SW, upgrade was at 2 years. Ended up being close to 8 years before I could have held my first class. After spending 3.5 years on reserve, there was no way I was going to take the first available upgrade class. While we are in a different landscape now, I hope none of these new Captains have to endure any type of extended time on reserve. With no representation, CS gets very creative with our reserves and they will methodically break you down to where you will rue the day you decided to become a 121 pilot.
