You do you boo! I'll be over here doing my thing
And the last guy touched on why we fly slow, no reason to touch on that. If someone wants to be the guy who flys as fast as possible just to get to a busy airport early and your gate is occupied and sit there for 45 minutes go right ahead.

They will wait till there is a problem filling classes and by then the game will be over and no way to recover.

The company uses that block to calculate your legality. You try to pick up a trip that is over blocked but under credit and they deny you. I would like to know what the cost savings is for them after they deduct all the brakes that are being ridden for that crawl of a taxi.

I do. I do get it.
I “missed” out on .38% of pay last month because of “credit or better” instead of “block or better”
Yet I was paid 14% more than I blocked.
.38% is a very small price to pay to know that 4,500 pilots are out there rowing this airline in the same direction.
Careful what you wish for.
We’ve all been in plenty of OAL J/S to know we don’t want that fuel wasting at a contract airline.
Incentive.

There is a reason why it’s done this way. And it’s not to align anything other than less expenses to the company at your expense.

This is the mentality I'm talking about. We have no commuter hotels, no commuter parking, no retention bonuses, no overtime for 85+ hours, no per diem protection for displacement, no guaranteed interview, no flow, no real representation......so what do we have? West coast bases and a turkey coupon. Yea, we're doing just fine.

Well as I was told, someone in SAPA approached TTG about going back to block pay.
He said absolutely not!
At least someone is benefiting from it?

Well it’s highly exaggerated then. And you know it is. If you have facts that prove your point, then that would validate your point. And the other part of your statement I question is, do you really think that by taking off at your scheduled off time and flying your filled TAS that you’d have problems with your gate being occupied on a consistent bases at your scheduled arrival time? You make it sound like your company doesn’t know what they’re doing and it’s up to the pilots to make it work?
