Any yes voters with less than 10 years on property care to chime in? I would love to hear the thought process on your yes vote.

No, I flew other types of flying before this, including charter in Lears. What does a CP position have anything to do with my background?

You may find this shocking, but there are many jobs out there far worse than this. Nobody duct taped you and forced you to work at OO. That was your choice. It's also yours to move on to greener pastures. Your constant complaining and inaccurate bashing isn't going to change things.

No knowledge or control of????
Oh it just happen to slip to the ground instructors mind when telling them they need 2500tt to upgrade, so these 1000tt wonder kids won't upgrade for what? 3 years? So much for a fast upgrade but then again did they open up their efb and look at company policy? Of course not. They were flooded with kool aid, as far as the lifers yeah well who cares (I suspect you will since you'll never hold slc captain). Point is this place isn't half of what people make it out to be. Moral is at an all time low and the pilot group is divided. Believe me I'm looking for greener pastures!

I realize when I upgrade, I won't hold captain in SLC. That's why I will upgrade and commute to a base where I can hold it. Either that, or stay in SLC, sit around, complain like you do, and go nowhere, while fuming and stewing over things I can't control. The ones who get hired and move on aren't the ones constantly whining about how unfair things are while accusing those with go-getter attitudes of "drinking kool-aid". So sick of all the pansy talking, thumb-sucking whiners here that make every effort to drag everyone else down with their bullcrap. Misery loves company and those willing to sit around and indulge in that garbage are the ones dividing this company. It's all what you make it. No, it's not perfect. Not even close. No, not everybody thinks it's great. However, I myself find that it provides what I'm looking for at this stage of my 15 years of flying so far. I applied for this job, got hired, make more here for less "work" than anywhere else I've flown, and am getting the precious turbine time. If I find myself as pi**Ed off and disgruntled as you are, I'll go back to flying in another area of aviation.

Us as pilots have NEVER had more control than we do right now, and people like you saying this place is ok is not a good thing! Your content with your measly pay check, I get it...
However some of us want more for busting our butts! Instead all I see is managements salary increasing millions at a time and our weekly "stay competitive" email. Management has this pilot group bent over so far it's not even funny! Don't think so? Look at Skywest managements pay the last 5 years, it's public record. We've been had boys!!!!!!

Perhaps if everyone stopped picking up open time and bailing the company out for their lack of proper staffing we may actually get somewhere. Wether it be 200% or proper staffing, I really don't care but we deserve more than the scraps we're being fed.

Us pilots have never had more control than we do right now? Really? Sure, that mindset worked out real well for this TA didn't it? We had so much "control" that we ended up with nothing substantial. Come on, man, open your eyes! This is a regional. Subcontracted flying. The "partners" and their unions call the shots and we get what they don't take first. How the hell do you think this company is going to survive if they just gave us all huge raises, 401K increases, the moon, the stars, etc? Let's say they gave us all big raises, then Delta or United pulled alot of their flying back or possibly didn't rtenew contracts a few years from now? We would end up in the same sinking boat as our poor brothers at XJT. You may think you're working yourself to death and deserve bonuses everytime you pushback on time, but if OO caved in to that, we'd all be out of work in three years or less.
Just what is it you think you deserve while working here? When all the whiners keep whining, all we hear is "This place sucks. We deserve more. Other places are better.....yackity, yack, yack", but no one gives realistic ideas on how to improve this awful, rough life at Skywest that apparently isn't bad enough to walk away from.

Why don't you quit? It's actually really easy to go somewhere else and get a giant bonus and a prior 121 bonus. I doubt you have been here long enough for it to really matter seniority wise
