Do they know that at 7PM on the last day a "volunteer period" starts where they don't have to answer their phone. The caveat being that if from 7-9pm CrewSupport does try to assign you a future trip, you must go online and accept it by noon the next day.
I'd hate to see guys commuting home on a day off because they haven't read the ppm.

I'm really confused about the ORD 175 FO's sitting.... I just left the 175 training web as a CA (finished IOE in April) and my newhire sim partner has a line in June. He was on RSV for maybe 6 weeks. Some of the other newbs had a composite in May. It seems like all the new guys are hitting the panic button because they have to sit for a month or two on RSV in ORD. The West Coast transfers have certainly stopped, but the flying in ORD has increased quite a bit since last year.

Let's not forget last time they came with a "accept this to grow, deny it and we shrink"
Which is what led to us having these bs separate 2/7/9 rates and when you may never touch a 200, yet vacation, user, cancelation soft time, etc etc etc all pays at 200.

I'm a new hire FO, just out of IOE and starting my reserve. I can speak for guys from my class because I just had this conversation with a bunch of them. They want to fly, they don't care where its out of and what airplane it is, but they want to fly and build hours. If things grind to a halt and we are stuck at the bottom of a pile sitting reserve forever I know plenty of guys that are going to split. There are bonuses everywhere. Horizon knocked on my door the other day with a fruit basket and bottle of wine. I know they were probably just trying to get into my pants, but at least they are willing to pay attention to me. If being stuck at the bottom of a pile not flying AND making minimum wage is the way it is around here, I'll take my type rating and split thank you. There is plenty of airlines out there that will love me for me! Sure I've put on a few pounds lately but still.....

UFB!
*Edit: you picked the ERJ and now you're complaining you want to get in and fly a line immediately? Shouldn't have picked the ERJ if that was the plan and your classmates should know that too. It's been no secret the reserve times were long and the CRJ was the place to go to grind for hours as fast as possible. Should have done your research. Bid CRJ when your seat lock is up and go to DTW....but let me guess the "guys who want to grind" don't want DTW do they? This entitlement is so old, ruining the image for all new hires in the industry. A captain here will go off on you if you told him that.

They want one 4 day a week with 30 hours in Jackson hole. And to never touch a ****ty 200. Is that too much to ask?
Bahahahahahahaha couldn't agree with you more man.

I know I'm going to sound like a broken record, but there are newhires who finished IOE in April who are lineholders in May and June.
To put this into perspective this must have been someone who finished IOE THIS MONTH, hired in Feb and probably had 3-4-5 weeks off waiting for IOE. How's this make you feel working 90+ hours a month with 12 days off? The entitlement coming through the 175 pipeline is off the charts.
I think the company should start requiring a training agreement. We should be able to trade this for our normal .5% right???
