Give yourself two flights with open seats and don't worry.
Actually there isn't even a requirement for 2 flights. Make a realistic effort to get to work, if you can't, call emergency. No harm no foul. If this starts happening on the regular, you may run into a problem.

Nope. Unless it happens excessively. Emergency is anything other than sick.

True, you are right. I think giving yourself two flights is a "good practice" thing.

Default Tus-phx bases

Hi Guys,

Early forty's aspiring F/O here, Getting close to send applications out , from reading the different threads seems like everybody is pretty happy at OO QOL even they not offering any bonuses or "carrots" as of now which for me speaks volumes. So I have few question that hopefully some of you could help.

1) How long to get TUS or PHX base , could anyone give me Jr. F/O DOH on both, I will be commuting from PHX and TUS drive to work will be OK.

2) For what I've read that will be CRJ only base right? Can I specifically ask for CRJ type.

3) If CRJ is granted do I get to fly all 3 (200/700/900) ?

4) How long can one expect to be on reserve and could I get a decent schedule like 4 or 5 days on with 3 off while on reserve until able to hold a line, also any chance to pick extra flying as a reserve newby.

Thanks

With being 40 and going to a regional, is it hard to get hired to a mainline being in your mid to late 40's? Would it be more beneficial going to one of the AA wholly owned carriers that have a flow to where you wouldn't be discriminated against on your age?
