Try looking at UVU aka Utah Valley University. It has an aviation online program.

I am looking over the requirement for the Restricted ATP.

Would a degree from WGU be considered toward a RATP since it is not on the FAA approved institution list?

You have to do your flight training as part of a part 141 program for a degree to help you towards RATP.

And it has to be a school approved for the RATP program, the FAA publishes a list.

I remember a business/company name mentioned either here or on one of the Facebook groups, but for the life of me can't remember now.

Interesting that the company is keeping it under wraps
It's called Skypath Aviation. It's in the early stages but they bought 2 brand new Archers full glass cockpit and then bought a hangar next to TransPac to use. It's a zero to hero program to get new pilots all the way through and then a job at Skywest. I don't know the full details like cost and etc. it's still a very new program. I think they told us Skywest only bought the airplanes to attract students with shiny Archers lol.

I worked at TransPac all of last year and they had 8 students they said to test it out. The plan was to see how it goes and then expand it larger to different locations across the country, so we'll see. Transpac (international students) couldn't use those new Archers either it's a separate company technically. They offered instructor jobs to TransPac instructors and the syllabus was bring written for a 120 day program or something along those lines. Pretty much another ATP. As far as Skywest goes, not sure how much more they'll invest in it. It's still on the quiet side right now but I know they did kick it off in 2017.

No website or anything but you can see its trademarked already by the company who owns TransPac.

Only if you get all the required flight training listed in the TCO (i.e. some places you can earn your private beforehand, not at the institution) and earn a degree at this list of institutions do you get the R-ATP, otherwise you need to do the full 1500 hours.

If it's not on the FAA approved list of institutions then probably not. Ask the school...possibly the list is out of date. If they are not approved, find a different school. You can do your private outside of the school, the rest has to be done through the school.

Once you graduate your school will give you a certificate that states you are eligible for the R-ATP mins and lists how many credits you did. (At least 30 for 1250 hrs/60+ for 1000 hours). Show up to first day of class with that certificate and your official transcripts sealed.

Then you'll be good to go.

Edison is by far the easiest. I was not able to find an accredited school that would give me more transfer credit and/or credit for ratings than Edison. After transferring all of my credits from my community college work and getting the FAA to send them a letter confirming my ratings, I ended up taking only two classes there, wrote them a check for $5,000, and left with a Bachelor's degree.

Can anyone currently working at Skywest tell me the specifics on the IAH domicile? Airframe based there? where it ranks in seniority and whether are not Skywest is going to keep that base? All I've heard is the flying is in flux.

Got cut in half essentially and is small and getting smaller. Only reason we have it is for when Mesa drops the ball snd UA needs it staffed. Super senior.
