Anybody have any details on the 2 or 3(?) Pipers SkyWest purchased? and the GA flight training program they are starting?

I remember a business/company name mentioned either here or on one of the Facebook groups, but for the life of me can't remember now.

Interesting that the company is keeping it under wraps

Envoy has something going like this with GA aircraft. I wonder if this will be similar.

All to convert military helicopter pilots with 750 hours to fixed wing pilots. Envoy is advertising their program heavily in Armed Services Magazine.

They just announced spending $100,000,000 on buying back their own stock certificates to shred them up while we got a .35¢ paybump and nobody cares.
Pipers? Shrug.

There are many reasons for stock buy backs. All have to do with financial engineering and none with flushing money down the toilet.

Why would a company buyback its own shares? | Investopedia

Believe it or not but 100M is a relative drop in the bucket compared to the overall balance sheet. If anything, this is probably a sign of some good news ahead for the business.

Rumor has it they invested in TransPac, a large flight school in Deer Valley, AZ. It's a large pipeline of instructors. Looks like they've bought some new planes for them
