Mainline can only bump you out of a mainline JS,that's it.
Also not entirely true. AA benefits go by time of checkin within your category. AA employees (D2) go first by TOC. Then D2P (parents) by TOC. D3 and so on. Jumpseaters are D6. Through pax (D2T, D3T) also jump to the top of the list, which actually makes sense to me. So when connecting through a mega-hub, you might actually have a chance at making your connecting flight.

Seniority and Time of Checkin have their merits and drawbacks, and I do wish we were able to go ahead of mainline employee parents and children who are traveling alone. Kinda stinks when that 17 year old kid is sitting in business class, while I've been making DL and UA money, but sit in coach. But this is true for all the legacies.

That's hilarious. I haven't remotely heard of any kind of rumor along those lines.

For some reason at SkyWest it's either the super senior or the very junior pilots that always have the crazy rumors.

SKW got burned when they bought XJT (and maybe when they bought ASA). They're still getting burned and get reminded every day. They will not be buying any more regionals unless they have a very controlling position, ie favorable terms AND a labor contract which they like. That last would be up to pilot group being acquired.

I believe if they needed somebodies airplanes, they would just buy them outright or wait for a BK fire sale.

What is SKW's priority on AA? is it D2 or something else?

Anyone know why I can't start my own thread? Is there a post minimum?

i know that it isn't awarded often, but if it was, does TDT give you positive space to and from work?
