Just to provide some additional color… specifically as it comes to reserve fun in DTW.
The latest upgrade award had a total of 32 upgrades – all but two were for the CRJ. Two were ERJ.
And while the most junior upgrade is indeed 1 year and 10 months. The most senior went to someone with more than 13 years seniority. The median is at 3 years and 6 month which is still very good in my opinion. Just know what you sign up for if you take the first available...

Anyone know how long the CTP course is? Starting mine the 24th of Jan and want an idea how long I'll sit before class on the 13th of Feb.

Is there a jumpseating 101 guide somewhere on SkyWest online?

CTP is 4 days of ground (8am-5pm) and 3 days of sim (time varies but my understanding is that it's 4 hours). I'm doing CTP Jan 9 and class date Feb 13 as well so I'll see you there!

As a side note to address how long you'll sit before class, the 4 days of ground and 3 sim sessions aren't back to back. My CTP ground is Mon-Thur, then sitting for a week (they fly me home in between) before coming back for the sim portion of the CTP. I'd call your CTP class coordinator if you want the exact dates.

Your sim slots are 6 hours. 2 hour brief and 4 hour sim session. If you have the 4 am session it's likely your instructor will want to brief the night before.

Agreed median really tells you nothing at all. It doesn't matter what the most senior or most junior upgrade is. It matters the seniority of the upgrades in your domicile. Even then it matters more to some than others. The definition of good QOL is different for everyone.
Although the other numbers do still have some relevance. If the most junior CA in the entire company was an 8-year guy (which, not long ago, was the case), that would not bode very well for anyone hoping to move up anytime soon...
