Ok, thanks. I'm guessing no one told me about ORD because it's so senior, on the E175 relatively.

Would getting actual block flight hours during reserve would be equally the same at all the ERJ bases (if everything else was created equal... seniority, crew scheduling magic, etc).

If you are truly focused on getting flight time quickly you really are choosing the wrong airplane.

I know.. but it's that or be stuck in MSP or ORD for the first few months. I'm sure they're not that bad, but for me, a west coaster ...they sound bad.

So, if I was on the CRJ in ORD, would I fly and get benefits from all three leagcies? Or would I only fly for one legacy and get benefits from one?

Also, which CRJ's is Skywest flying in ORD?

All CRJ pilots at SkyWest get UA and DL flight benefits. In Chicago, you would also get AA. In ORD, you will fly all 3 variants of the CRJ for all 3 partners.

You will also have Jumpseat privileges on multiple carriers plus ZED fares.

Well if you start class soon, you wouldn't start IOE until early spring. If you end up in the Midwest for a bit (which may not even happen) spring is a great time to be there.

AA 'benefits' here are worse than useless...

There are different categories of priority based on who employs you (mainline and wholly owned first, zed fares and offline JS last). Within your group, it is done by checkin time.

From what I think I remember, it was the US Airways system and after the merger, they voted it in. It sucks for the guys at the top of seniority, but it does force people to list pretty early (not like United where people list last second as the battle it out with their vacation passes). Also, it benefits those who are trying to non-rev on multiple legs since the time of checkin is allowed 24hrs prior to their first departure. So imagine someone leaving Europe and connecting in PHL and going to the west coast. They will be checked in for the PHL-west coast leg 10 hours before anyone who is just originating in PHL.
