Thank you very much for that! All booked. I knew there would be an option I hadn't found. Cheers

They don't even know what is going to happen to Houston so I'm guessing they have no clue about aircraft

apologies if this has been asked already.... can anyone tell me how often you are required to be in the airport while on reserve with skywest? Trying to decide between skywest and envoy.
Thanks

Usually only at the end of a trip. And even then it isn't long. I've had 4 days that released at 930am and only ended up sitting ready for 45 minutes. I know people that have been assigned ready in lieu of a trip, but that doesn't seem to happen very often.

Yeah it happens but it's rare, and as mentioned it usually just comes at the end of a trip you were assigned to. Once in a blue moon you may get called up to sit ready but I wouldn't anticipate that being a frequent thing at all.

And to add, you don't get ready at the end of a normal trip. Only at the end of a trip if you are a reserve.

If things like "ready reserve" are needed to tip the scale I'd suggest applicants instead go with their gut, you will probably be happiest.

Alas, this isn't true. I once had a 4-day OBR block where on Day 1, they had me DH to a base and sit ready for 4 hours. It was not at the end of the trip.

Ended up 'sitting ready' at the pool at the Renaissance PSP hotel. (You can just about do it, if your bags are packed and you're ready to sprint to your room, put on the monkey suit and hail a cab.)
