Any insight as to crj reserve times at ORD? Was asked a couple of pages ago, but no replies. I have been told it is now like 9 months where it was almost nonexistent a month or two ago.

so 9 months sounds about right.
its horse**** about nonexistent reserve for at least since April. That's pretty much last time reserve coverage was below 10% on a CRJ side, since then it's only getting higher, probably except couple of months during busy summer months.
DTW, FAT probably the only bases now where newhire CRJ FO could expect a line withing 6 months, everywhere else it'll be 9+ months, until we magically get a lot of new contracts. Even in MSP people on reserve forever nowadays.
PS I might be wrong and everything will change in a couple of months, but that what I see based on my class.

SFO FAT and PSP will hold line fastest. Im feb hire and had a full line since sep. composite in AUG. An april hire just got a composite line for Dec. PSP classmate full line in AUG. Another classmates couldnt hold DTW last month due to IAH guys transfering in. Not sure what it looks like for him this month.

So end of July new hires holding a line in ORD?
Even looking at PBS numbers in SkyWestOnline shows 144 target line holders for December. 144 on a seniority list in ORD was hired end of February, not July.
So if 9 months is roughly 4 months than yes it's correct.

End of June new hire hold a line in DTW in December, which is 5 months, Begining of June new hire will hold a line in FAT in December, which is almost 6 months. All other bases more than 6 months as of December.

Now take off the time for trainining, IOE, and all the people not bidding in ORD and I bet you are closer to 4 months. Being a smart ass almost worked for you!

I wish I'd be smartass, just a reserve guy who barely flying 30 hours a months with a "Call First" Yes and picking up extra flying on a days off. Reality is for most of the bases CRJ is as overstaffed as ERJ used to be. New hires needs to be ready for that, and not to expect line right out of training. It's no longer the case.

Having said that, I think that SKYW is still on of the better if not the best package out there.
