Out of base reserve. Youre an msp reserve, theyre fat that week and need you in sfo. You get flown to sfo and sit in a hotel for 4 days.

I like it. Thanks.
I start on 7 Nov and am developing commuting contingency plans since I live near Denver and am unlikely to get that base for awhile.

You'll like it if you get sent to Denver.. if not. I honestly don't know what base would get you off reserve fast at this point. From my experience it is not MSP.. that's for sure.

You dig?
Yeah I'm picking up what you're putting down. Just doesn't seem like it makes a lot of financial sense to have someone getting paid to sit reserve when they could have more reserves in a base and not have to pay someone for 4 days of per diem. Im not against obr, I beg for it and it is great when you get it.

The thing is, 4 days of per diem is chump change.

Personally my recommendation would be to stick it out..you'll have a line very soon in msp.
But if you want to hold a line but are too junior then commute to the most junior base DTW.

Default SLC

How long to get SLC, and what would the reserve time frame look like? What would a reserve schedule look like ie: start time release time. Sorry if these are dumb questions, I'm new to the 121 market. Thanks!

Different strokes, I used to bid res and enjoy doing my projects.
I also enjoyed OBR.
Then staffing got tight and my phone rang often and I was off to a line.
